As the hero's continue their journey, Talzaria is contacted by her patron, Carius. Entering her lamp, Carius offers her armour that will increase her power, but she must kill a powerful foe to unlock its full potential. Shortly afterward, the castle arrives in the town of plague-mort, a place full of zombie like villagers and so devoid of life and happiness that Enihx was reminded of home. As they group walked through the town, Thruck was pulled into the glowing green moat, being transformed into a maw demon. Several demons also rise out to attack the party. During the fight, a massive warrior appeared out of nowhere and sliced the demonized Thruck in half, ending his misery. The warrior introduced himself as Kelkas Gorduin, or Gord for short, and assisted in dispatching the last of the demons. Mourning their loss, the party decides to join forces with Gord and continue onward. The group decides to head to Blightsteel Keep to kill Talzaria's target, the Archlector Bex.
